Why are they making a sequel to Repo Man?

I loved Repo Man. I'm not sure if I could make myself go see this "sequel". It's kinda like that awful re-make of Willy Wonka, I hated myself for seeing that. (and I am a HUGE Depp fan)

Sometimes they get a theme/idea right the first time, and any efforts to re-visit it are often disappointing and obviously a "we ran out of money, so we're trying for some more" kinda thing.

I hope I am 100% wrong about this but I, too, have my doubts.

That pretty much sums up my feelings. Everything clicked just right with the original Repo Man, so I don't see how the sequel can't be awful.
